Farm Stay Accommodation Cabins
The Farm Stay Accommodation Cabins are located 10 km from Sutton Forest, a village in the picturesque Southern Highlands region of NSW, approximately 110 km south-west of Sydney.
The project’s primary challenge was to deliver a high-end retreat experience while balancing privacy, spatial efficiency, and connection to the dramatic natural setting. Set on a narrow ridgeline, the site demanded a careful orchestration of form and orientation to maximise views while maintaining a sense of seclusion between the ten individual cabins.
Each cabin is strategically positioned along the mountain crest to capture panoramic vistas of the surrounding rainforest and rolling hills. The cabins are conceived as elongated linear volumes, with generous spacing between them to preserve visual and acoustic privacy. Living areas are placed at the far end of each volume, oriented toward the landscape and away from neighbouring structures.
A finely detailed screening element wraps along the sides of each cabin, providing an additional layer of privacy while softening the transition between interior space and the external environment.
